Level 2 – Threat Analyst
Responsibilities
- Author threat intelligence reports, driven by client’s security operations team’s own incidents, analysis, and adversary engagements.
- Assist with the development of project plans and process documentation.
- Analyze event feeds and collected malware over long term to trend and correlate.
- Triages and handles security issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and reviews.
- Participate in security architecture reviews
- Screen security candidates during hiring process.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience conducting threat response activities.
- Strong understanding of event analysis leveraging SIEM tools.
- Strong understanding of log parsing and analysis skill set.
- Strong understanding of incident investigation and response skill set.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, network layers, Ethernet, ARP, etc.).
- Having and maintaining at least one threat-related certifications (e.g., CASE, GWEB, GSSP, OSCP, OSEP OSWE or similar etc.)
- Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Working knowledge of current threat landscape (threat actors, APT, cyber-crime, etc.).
- Strong understanding of malware operation and indicators.
- Strong understanding of penetration techniques.
